How To Submit To Search Engines
On this page we’ll discuss how to submit to Search Engines and things to keep in mind during that process.
Submitting to the Search Engines is a vital part of your internet marketing strategy. Doing it properly is the question and the part that most people do wrong resulting in low or no rankings. Even banned from ever being Ranked!
First, make sure you have checked out our How To Optimize For Search Engines page.
Second, keep in mind proper Search Engine Submission is far from instant. It can take 3 days to 3 weeks to get into Google, other engines can take even longer… upto 3 months. Which brings us to the Tips
1. Avoid Free Search Engine Submission services or programs
Free Search Engine Submission services and programs mainly just collect your email address which they then SELL and you get even More SPAM! Your best bet is to go to each Search Engine and submit on their site. The only eMail you get then is their confirmation eMails.
2. Make a list of Search Engines
Make a list of the Search Engines you plan to submit to. This is a hard step because what you are looking for is backdoors into the Main Top Search Engines. For our Search Engine Submission clients we do Not submit directly to Google, we submit to a Search Engine that Google is known for pulling info from and that they scan often. These smaller engines are Trade Secrets but with some research you will be able to find websites like that.
3. Do Not Resubmit to often ( Why Resubmissions )
Most people get their Search Engine Submission list and start spamming their Search Engine Submissions FAR to often. Most Search Engines view frequent submissions as SPAM and will drop your ranking or even get you Banned, meaning your domain name will never appear in their engine again without a LOT of work. Never resubmit more often then once every 3 months. If your Search Engine ranking is Good at that time DO NOT resubmit at All. Do not fix what isn’t broken. After that time, if your ranking stinks check your Optimization again and reword some of your content, checking your Keyword count and Codng Errors.
4. Content Changes on Your Website
Do NOT Resubmit everytime you make changes to your website text “content”, stick with your 3month schedule. Once your website has any rank in the Search Engines they will revist your website on their own and find the new content, again this is to avoid being seen as a Spammer. When your Website is ranked begin resubmitting yearly rather than every 3months.
If you do not relish the idea of all that research or you want faster solid results you can hire a Professional Search Engine Submission company that already has experience doing it properly.
